Meet up for Denver Civic Center Fireworks on July 3, 2018 at 6pm, on the steps of the capitol.
Capture the Denver Civic Center fireworks on from the vantage point of the Colorado State Capitol building. The event begins with a concert starting at 8pm with the fireworks beginning once it gets dark. However, to get a good spot on the steps of the capitol it’s best to arrive 1 to 2 hours early. (In 2015 when the accompanying photo was taken, Jim Schroedler staked out the very top step of the capitol at 6pm and was soon surrounded by other photographers). There are also good vantage points closer to the City and County Building, but your view can be blocked by the crowd. Note that there will be food trucks in Civic Center Park starting at 4pm.
